Decided to do a satin finish on my team Gemini crusader. I think it came out pretty good.image.jpgimage.jpg

Pretty good? When do you start taking orders? Nice job.

Never thought about doing it for other people but I guess I wouldn't mind doing it.

It was done by hand. I stripped a desert crusader and when I did it was double cut finish, but it was almost like an unfinished double cut. Didn't look like an uncoated crusader. So I blasted it to get a uniform finish. I then started with 320 then 400,600,1000,1500. I then used diamond compounds through various grits in a swirl motion like waxin a car to get rid of all the sanding marks. It was very shiny by this time. Then I used the sanding balls for a drill that is basically a scotch bright ball and I use that to apply the even and Uniform lines that go from spine to edge. Then I put a fresh convex edge on it.

Let me see a picture of it because I know some stripped combat grades have a lot of machining marks and I don't really feel like sanding by hand for 12 hours but if they are not bad I wouldn't mind. I enjoy doing it to a certain extent just not 12 hours of enjoyment.

Looks OUTSTANDING...very labor intensive, I've done it myself...mine just don't look near as great as yours
