I really like the blade shape on the ST-56 and since I was going to make a user of it, I thought I would add a satin finish to it. I didn't sand out the INFI dimples because it was going to be a user and I didn't want to reduce the thickness (and would require a lot of work). I have a couple of different grits of abrasive scotch brite wheels that I mount on my lathe, they work well and don't take too much time. The lazer etched "ST-56" remained with a "Ghost" logo look to it.

Here is one of the scotch brite wheels, it is 1" wide, the other is 6" wide. It also lets you put a factory looking satin finish back on knives.

WOW nice job I like that look. Now just send it to me and I'll get it niced and used just for you:D

That st-56 looks just great in satin

I got to get me one of those scotch brite wheels! :D I cant get the coating out of the dimples on my Heavy Heart, and sandpaper takes far to long to get a shiny surface

any online shop for those wheels?

Hey Porkducci that's SWEEEEEETTTTT!

Just curious... did you strip the coating off with the scotchbrite wheel or something else first?

I used a chemical remover first.

Thanks!!!

I'm thinking about stripping a couple of mine that will be users... Can't wait to get started! But... it'll have to wait until after I get back from my trip. Think I might scare a few corp execs if I try it in my meetings. :D :D :D

ST-DUCCI, I like it! excellent job:thumbup:

ST-DUCCI, it has a ring to it, we maybe on to something here!:D
