Hey guys and gals....

Well , I was informed that "the Boss man" Jerry Busse actually ground a bunch of SJ LE s himself upon their initial release... .

I just was wondering if anyone can verify this ...

Several sources point me to this tid-bit being true.. :eek::eek:

I was hoping I would not have to call the shop or bother anyone there because I know how busy the Busse crew is ..

That would be awesome if Jerry can chime in though... :o

Thanks !!

I don't think he really did.... But to ensure the correctness of this... HE NEEDS TO MAKE SOME MORE!

The one I missed out on at auction (from Germany, went for about $200) was described as being ground by Jerry himself, not that it means much on an auction description.

It goes well beyond that, Uncle_Jarvis. I don't know about now, but not that many years ago, Jerry was involved with grinding many of the regular knives that came out of his shop. Not all of them, but a lot of them. At the time that the SJ line was released, that was just normal business, to the best of my knowledge.

Ohhhhhh ... Interesting ..... Thanks for the information .. :thumbup::thumbup: :)

One sure fire way to tell.....Does the knife smell of JWB?

yes ... !! :thumbup: & cigars ... The paper micarta really absorbs the aroma ...

I guess I found my new drinkin' knife..... :)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

A vast majority of the collection I have left was ground by the man himself. During the time of the SJLE's you covet, he did all sorts of GFD (Grinder Front Designs) stuff. I have a few, there are Hogs here who have a lot more than I do. I know he said he did all of the Flying Badger Attacks which hail from that time period, I remember it well since it was at about the same time I came to know of Busse knives and I was hooked.
