well i still can figer out wether I want the SJ or the NO:eek: I really like the looks of the satin jack I think that is what I will get - but then the natural outlaw might be better for choping;) oh well when I get my money I will make up my mind (if I can)

P.S. is busse going to stop making the SJ?:rolleyes:

Hey, no problem, I know what it is like trying to choose from so many great knives.

If you are going to be doing a lot of chopping, get the NO. If you are going to be using it for general utility, then either will be fine. But since you said you like the looks of the SJ, get the SJ.

Tell us again what your primary uses are going to be?

Both knives are great, even though I've never used a SJ, but the NO would be more efficient in chopping that's for sure. If you're looking for something to fill the role of concealed carry, I can guarantee the SJ will be much easier.

I was carrying a NO concealed and switched to a Badger (kicka** knife!!!) for the slightly reduced weight. Now I'm head over toe nails in love with my Badger.
 
I agree with DN, if you are going to be using the knife primarily as a chopper go with NO. I absolutely love my SJ, however, it is not primarily used as a chopper(although it is has accomplished a lot of chopping:D ) But just remember,you will love either one.

i own & use a Satin Jack LE: it is delightful !
My friend has a Natural Outlaw ZT: it is delightful, too!
There's a thread here (i didn't paste it, sorry!) that told of the SJ's chopping ability, which the owner/user was quite impressed with. Concealability in increased, as Dark Nemesis has pointed out. This may increase the number of times you HAVE the knife actually with you! (And that, of course, is ALL-important!)
If you need a better chopper, get a Busse 9" knife: either a Bolo, a Battle Mistress, or a Basic Niner; & The SJ can do every medium-grade task. That's what i go with. If you want a "one-knife for absolutely everything" scenario, well, good luck: HA! But Steel Heart pretty much wears that crown. The Outlaw has a wider handle, Jack is more slender: so figure out your hand size, & go with the more appropriate one. Guys with different sized hands still like both handles, tho... Either way, YOU are IN for a TREAT!
And, No, the Satin Jack doesn't appear to be in any danger of being phased out, for the moment.
If you handle both models, as i & others have done, you WILL want both; there's no getting out of it, really... ;)
AND: you really have a choice of FOUR models there: Combat & Limited Edition: Asymmetrical edge grind with coating, OR Symmetrical edge grind without coating; Boy, what a predicament: i don't envy you...! :rolleyes:
 
I wont use it for that much choping just a little on averag. and then it will be mostly small stuff less then one inch mustly I will use it for genral things

I like the looks of the SJ much better:D
 
Ajester, I think the Satin Jack will be around for a
little while yet. Jerry said something about the Badger
Attack E and the Mr. Mojo being discontinued!!:(
Like the guys said, you will be happy with either.
 
Hey Climber, I am the thread starter on the SJ. Like I said, it did, and will do more chopping:D That is probably the best knife that I could have chosen for the size. Like I said, I love the SJ, and it will be a field companion of mine for along time to come.

Climber, 1whobuys(Chuck), and many other people love the SJ as well. I have also heard nothing but positive feedback on the NO(who would be surprised, they both come from a great maker), and you will have the horrible decision of which one you will want to get first ;)

Sounds like you should choose the SJ.
