Finished these up today. Both are full satin with a zero convex edge. These Rats sure look good satin. What do you guys think?

Indeed, nice!

I love convex too, but often have exposed my knives to salt water, so prefer to have at least half of the blade covered:

btw, I was not impressed at all by factory sharpening of my RMD. Was one of the reason to go convex...

That really looks awesome, you do very nice work. I would love to have my HRLM done this way. My only question would be rust. I maintain my equipment religiously, so would it be a issue when you really look after your equipment? Anyone use the satin and what has been your experience?

They look awesome as usual Nate! It blows my mind how sharp you can get SR-101. My Battle Guard still shaves hair after months of trail clearing.

I have RMD in "half" satin (see above), and often use it while fishing, including saltwater. I always clean and wipe it with a bit of CLP after each trip. Never seen any rust.

Beautiful. Do you use some 1200, perhaps 1600 grit sanding paper and polishing to finish off?

Smile, you can see your teeth polished all the while slicing thin air even thinner. Great job!!!

The RMD is mine, and it's even better in person. Sharp as hell, and it makes an already great knife even better. Let me just say that if anyone is looking at this and sitting on the fence about having Nate bring out the best in an RMD, DO IT. You will not be disappointed.
