I got this knife earlier this week (Thanks Jerry!) along with a matching pumpkin rodent solution. Unfortunately its rained all week so today was the first chance I had to get out and use it. Anyways a snapped a few pics. Overall its exactly what I expected, its a RMD so it feels amazing in hand but the bowie tip is much more usable and the factory edge on this one was so good I was able to use it right out of the box. Also this RMD has a larger choil than the production model which makes it even more comfortable to use.
I think the RMD is simply the best knife ever in its class. Its so comfortable its unreal. No hot spots and the choil is very useful. Its thin enough to slice well and thick enough that you couldn't break it even if you tried. I just wish the orange was a little brighter, but im not complaining
Im still hoping to get a Koster MUCK from the new run. I think at this point it might be the only knife that can give the RMD some competition.
Makes some VERY fine curlies with the factory edge.
