The owner asked me to satin and rework the handles on this SAR5 to make the handle lighter and a little more secure. Here is what I came up with after a little brainstorming. Full convexed goodness and of course stupid sharp. Enjoy!

WOW Ban that is truly AMAZING.:eek::eek:
I love my Sar 5, but I have always thought of lightening the handles up a bit but I never thought it could look as great as that.
Thanks for the fantastic pics.

Very nice once again Ban. Oops! i think i just cut myself again looking at your scary sharp blade edge.:thumbup:

Interesting. I never thought of making the handle thinner top-to-bottom on a SAR5.

I've got some. . . somethingorother-wood and some fastening material to try and re-handle my new USED SAR5. It's a great knife with a too-fat handle.

Whoa! That's incredible! Thanks for the great news after a couple crappy weeks. (family issues)

Looks great.

Any chance we could get a straight down plan view? Did you take metal off both the top and bottom spines to keep the fasteners centered in the handle?

As usual, Very nice. Love your frosted satin finish and convex edges!

That handle looks so much better.
