satinizing the buck strider

I'm thinking of getting a small spear point buck strider. However, I hate bead blast but don't have the tools to give it a satin finish myself (esp since the edge will surely be scratched). I read somewhere that one can send the blade to buck for satinizing.

how much would such a service cost and how long will it take?

I believe you are mistaken. Buck does not perform satanizing, but they do perform exorcisms.

I had a satin finish done on my large buck strider tanto by Buck and the cost is $10 - $11. Buck did an excellent job.
