Well, it's actually stabilized sycamore, but everytime I would post a pic of the slabs o wood, people always said it looked like bacon... Kinda does

Lots more shaping and sanding to do, but it's pouring out and I'm bored

that is NICE! I may have to look more closely at sycamore..it looks much plainer in block form!

Thanks guys! It doesn't seem to have the depth of my favorite type of wood ( redwood burl) but its very interesting and I can wait to see what it looks like polished up to 2000 or so

Very nice work!! The colors that ripple togather in that bac...I mean stabalized sycamore work very well. I'm not the biggest fan of wood handles, but those look sweet!!
 
Those burl scales on the 14 are amazing....i need to find me someone to build me some....i cant get over how classy they look....

Oh yeah BACON!
