Living in my county I have to hunt stateland because all the farms are now mc mansion developments :( This has forced me to get creative. The co op area has a map with numbers indicating assigned spots, roughly 1 square mile each(shotgun only!!) The problem is for a new hunter the map has no detail or topographics so I could end up in a big feild or a bad spot.

Enter Google earth, I made my own map with elevation and land marks I can even check yardage:jerkit: Kind of cheating a little :D

They have recently upgraded satellite images in my area. Now I can see my house clearly and even see my red truck .I just got a handheld GPS and installed top mapping in it but I haven't learned to use it yet.

Sounds to me like using your head, not cheating. :) -Matt-

It sure is nice to be able to sit on my front porch and get meat for the table :)

Walked up to my barn Saturday and got nice big bodied scrub buck.
