Nice looking blade, and for once, I can be one of the first posts. Too bad it is not what i am looking for right now.

Very nice! That thing looks like it would cut like a fiend. Reminds me of the old "backwards" blades. Wish I had the dollars!

email sent...I tried to let somebody else have it...lol...that's if it's not already gone..

If you did get it, you've got hold of a real user at 36ounces; mine come in at 48ounces and me being old and fat, I'm buggered after a decent work out with it. :( :o

Yours is much closer to the 'genuine' Indonesian weight of around 28 ounces or less but they don't have HI's over-engineered 'safeguards' ! ;) :D

I did get it b.c. and it should be arriving here tomorrow I figured...I have the post man working hard these days...lol..I wasn't aware the weight different...I will compare it to my Tarwar and see what goes...yes at 36 ounces it is allot less than my tarwar...I am really looking forward to be the new owner for a while...hope to pass it down...now I just have to have some grand-kids that are eccentric as I am...:-)...glad you commented...

Congrats Joekido. I can not remember a comparison between a Tarwar and Indonesian, hope you can find the time to post your thoughts.

Just to clarify, I should have said 'genuine Klewang made in Indonesia' whose published weights are much lighter than either of our HI Indonesian models.

As regards eccentric, I''m a firm believer in that true family traits often skip a generation so if your children do their bit, you have a good chance at like minded grandchildren to you! ;)

I just received my Indonesian Sword...The prince has done it again...a very nice sword with a nice weight and handle size...not small and not large...I was able to swing this in a figure 8 better than I thought...good to build the wrists up..:-)...love it...thank you Yangdu for a sweet Blade...

Thanks for the follow-up, Joekido. I love these threads that go from the initial DOTD offering, and the sharking, all the way to the lucky buyer giving his/her impressions after delivery.
