I`ve had another request from a semi local guy to learn the basics. I thought it might be a good time for a JK open house. We can do a little knifemaking and cook some burgers and hotdogs, and shoot the bull. I figure starting about 8am and finishing whenever. This includes all you Illinois "lurkers"! All I ask is if you don`t wear glasses pick up a pair of safety glasses at Lowes or Home Depot, along with a dust mask. If you are interested, post here. It will be fun!
Everyone who comes will be making their own "Tin Knife", so get a piece of cardboard 3/4" x 4" and design your own style. I even have some scrap handle material if you want to put handles on it.
If you come, please bring a lawn chair. This will be happening rain or shine! This will be a good opportunity to discuss some wilderness and camping skills.
