Ok, I'm lame, maybe a little tipsy too:o , but I finally have the house to myself, so why go out? I have a few bottles of wine, a tombstone pizza, widescreen TV - life is good.

.. anyway, I was wondering what other people actually use a knife for.

Just this evening, I have used mine to slice up some raw venison for my dog, cut the foil wrapper off the wine bottle, and just out of laziness and since the wife's not here I used it to cut the pizza (yes, after I cut the raw meat:D ).

So, that got me wondering - what have you used your blade for today?

I opened a bag of Jalapeno Poppers. :o Its been a slow day.

In fact, it took me longer to decide what knife to carry today than it did to utilize said knife :p

Another slow day here. I opened a pack of hot dogs for the barbecue.

However, I did gain some satisfaction by seeing how my freshly sharpened edge zipped through the plastic like a shark with a laser beam attached to its head.

De-animated a couple of zombies. Too hot outside here in Tejas today so I left the door unlocked so they could get inside, then de-animated'um in the air conditioning. Used a slipjoint to give them a fighting chance.;)

I used my Vic. Rambler's scissors to cut the straps off of a surgeon's mask (I tied the knots too tight.) I also used the phillips screwdriver to untie some knots. I didn't use my Sebenza much.

That's great!
Although, I purposely left out the make/model/style of kinfe to avoid the inevitable argument about which is the best. Plus it just wouldn't be fair - slipjoints would win!:D

My opinel thas done the following tasks the past day or so

Wood shavings and hotdog spears made to cook some chicken in the backyard (I think food cooked over charcoal tastes horrible)

Carrot prep for some stir fry. My 110 helped out with additional carrots and the chicken, wanted to compare the efficiency of its hollow grind to my favored Opinels. Harder to control, but it fared well.

Shaved the tops of my feet. I was at a skatepark and those hairs often get irritated when I'm wearing socks, so I did a little makeshift cleaning up.

Broke some boxes down for the trash.

A lot of peanut butter duties :)

my spyderco paramilitary got a good work out today.peeled my grandaughter and grandson some apples.cut some weeds and wedeater line.then I shaved my arm to see how sharp it was.

My Sharpfinger opened my mail, diced some bell peppers & tomatoes for soft tacos, trimmed up a leather cord for a necklace, took the shrink wrap off a new dvd, and cleaned under my fingernails. slow day.

On Saturday, I used my Sebbie to remove the pins from my watch strap to put a new one on. Nothing other than that.

Between Friday and Saturday, My Waved Endura dug up weeds, cleaned a few speckled trout (Along with a filet knife), Opened a bag of dog food, Cut a piece of chicken to see if it was ready (It was and it came out delicious - blackened), cut fuel hose for an outboard, cut monofilament, stab a hardhead catfish that was flopping around and tangled in my cast net(before I got finned), opened boxes, and opened mail. I think thats it.

Well, since this is Sunday morning, I will go through yesterday...

Of couse used my CRKT PECK as a money clip...

With my EDC (yesterday it was my SOG PE) I opened up a box of cereal for my kid, cut some wildflowers for my girlfriend when we were out walking, cut an leather strap (that was added a few years ago) off of an antique powder horn, and that was about it.

Darned zombies...I am ready for them...but they never come around.

My BM 707 has been riding in my pocket all weekend, chillin'. I think I opened the the mail........................................ :o Z

cutdown a bunch of limbs that were over hanging my front porch with my swamprat. Boxed up a few items to ship out and cut alot of tape with my camilus heat. Opened the mail with the Camilus as well.Used my S&W "kitchen tactical" knife for dinner. Right now I am waiting for the deep fryer to heat up to deep fry some chicken breasts I cut into strips with my Bandicoot. Oh yeah used my CRKT this morning to cut weedeater string.
Typical day.

I was at the office trying to get our test system up with our latest and greatest out the door for Monday:mad: (writing this from the office, BTW) On the up side, I was able to use my folder to open a couple of new "toys" that I had to acquire to keep us going forward. New portable USB hard disk (Lacie 40 GB) (tiny - you can just about stick it in a shirt pocket:eek: ) and a powered USB hub - our portable DVD writer power supply went and we couldn't wait for the deployment team to cut us some release media. Opened other packages (Doritos - the staple of IT:D ) and just opened a new package of DVD-R's (can't believe it - we have cases of media in our supply room and we had to run out on a weekend when our admin assistant wasn't around:mad:  ) Another long day coming up - I'm going to have pretty close to my 40 hours in before Monday:(

Wet, cold miserable day here. Not doing a heck of a lot. I changed the stinkin litter box for the cats, and had to cut open a new bag of litter. That's been about it.

But more importantly, what kind of wine did you enjoy?

I had a Rancho Zabaco-Sav. Blanc. It went great with the grilled chicken we had for dinner. :)

What year?

I had a 2000 "Les Chevaliers" DomaineY. Clerget Meursault(White Burgundy). Went excellent with beef souvlaki w/tsaziki, rice pilaf, and hummous.

Best Regards,
