Oke Doke,

I think I'll visit IG today. As I usually trash something while I'm there  I usually bring tokens of peace and friendship

As you can see, there is no Bud in this photo, just good beer and knife quality steel.
IG, lets me come over cause I alway bring the goods, which he will drink exclusively until it's gone, then it's back to the bud.

After I'm done at IG's, it's off to a jam session with the Lightning Brothers, on beautiful "Big River" (AKA, Johnsons Pond) in Coventry, RI

Tomorrow being Fathers Day, Linda and I will be doing the visiting thing. First we will visit Linda's parents, emphasis on Dad. Later we will be going over to my sisters house for the BBQ with my folks and the rest of the family.

This year, I'm actually going to give Dad a gift. He served in WW II, as an aircraft mechanic in the Navy aboard the USS Shagri-La and after the war he was also involved in "Operation Crossroads" on the same ship, so I got him this

I'm sure that he will love it, I think the cowboy hat he's been wearing for the last 10 years will be retired for this one. :)

Ge..ge..gee, thanks for asking Wally.

Ya ended up at the Lightning Brothers jam session till around 11 last night, drank much more beer  the  is because I ended up drinkin' Coors Light  . The Lightning Brothers came to the conclusion that I should not drive, so Lightnin' Lester gave me a ride home. Picked up the car this morning. I'll have to drive up to get the gloves one of these days.

My Dad loved the ships hat from USS Shangri-La that I got for him, when he opened the gift he started smiling , ear to ear, best fathers day present in years, very cool.

:D :D

Here's what old people with new Kayaks do on fathers day. 10 miles down the lower Chickahominy river and back. Osprey heaven.

Went to Boston Saturday and ate at Dick's Last Resort. Nice place and great food. We had the kids so we couldn't hang around for the bachelorette parties that were coming in but we did manage to squeak in a napkin throwing fight and a few Big @ss Beer Glasses of Boston's finest brew. Stumbled around the Prudential Skywalk afterwards... finding out beer and vertigo is NOT a good mix. Worst moment was when my daughter was pasted to the window and asking me "Dad... what is that ALLLL the way down there?" I couldn't tell... 50 stories is a long way for me to focus.

We spent the night in a nice suite and the next morning splashed around in the resort pool with the kids. Nice cute, female, blond lifeguard too. :D :D

Now we are home and ordering bacon and mushroom pizza.

Don: That is beautiful. did you get any pic's of the Osprey ????
Joe: When are going to take a ride down here and pay a visit?????

I couldn't get a good picture of any of the Osprey George. The camera I took didn't have a Telephoto lens and They just wouldn't sit still for me.
This picture has an Osprey in it above the nest, on a limb to the left.
