Here is a top notch 30 inch, 2.75 pound, King Kobra made and marked by Kumar. This is a 10 out of 10 rig. Fit, finish are fine. Hardening is excellent, about 60 Rc where it should be. The karda and chakma are 7+ inches and are tools and/or weapons unto themselves. The scabbard and frog are the best quality I've seen come out of BirGorkha. Excellent.

So, what's wrong with this knife? A cracked handle. It is cracked on both sides, narrow but quite visible cracks. A wire wrap and epoxy will certainly save the handle. Epoxy alone might save it but since it's cracked on both sides I can't be sure. Terry Sisco can rehandle this blade with no problem and he might do it for less than $50.

Take this King Kobra for $50 off regular. We will deliver it to your door for $125. That will leave $50 for handle repair or replacement and you will have a Kobra that will last at least 5 lifetimes.

Call or email if interested.

Khukuri FAQ

Somebody hurry up and buy this sword. I am trying not to buy anything else until the katana gets here, but you guys are making it hard by getting slow on the draw!

Hello Pakcik Bill, Wish I could say the same thing as I did with the AK 2 months ago. Unfortunately I've got to hold the money in check for the falcata/machaera/kopis project.

30" is alot of khukri for anybody, but I'm sure someone will be along soon who will take it. Just out of curiosity, does the Kobra have a stick tang or a full tang?

Had a headache and stiff neck all day. This thread reminded me that I've nicknamed the 5 lb. 30" Sirupati "Rice Krispies" cause every time I swung it my back went snap, crackle, pop. Just got back inside - five minutes of just looping it in figure 8's and extensions didn't put my back into place but it doesn't hurt half as bad now.

Chiro 75 where are you?

I'm bringing this back up to the top. There must be some people who are seeing all the messages and think it is sold. When I went to bed last night I figured that was a good deal anyway since it would let some of our international friends pick it up. I never dreamed it would still be up this morning. I bet it wouldn't last 15 minutes if it was a 22" or 25"!

Now ain't that the truth.

You know they've gotta be gettin' suspicious the way you sneak around to the place(s) you're aging the newer khuks ( Oh, Honey, I've had that thing forever... ).

Did you have to remind me of the wife? Ok guys any good excuses as to why I really really need this?

All depends if you want to end up like Mallory or Hillary.

( With apologies and due respect to both )

The wee blade arrived and I've had a couple of days to fondle. This isn't just a big knife - it's a short sword! I don't see much utility use for this one - it's a weapon. It's a specialized piece. The handle is long enough that you can actually get a two handed grip for better control. I think I've discovered when enough is enough - size wise. As Bill said the handle is well and truely cracked. I'll try epoxy. Any body know how I can contact Terry Sisco?
