Save a soap?

I have a puck of Herban Cowboy Dusk soap, and I can't get it to lather at all.

It's loose with lots of bubbles. It disintegrates almost immediately (I can almost get half a pass). It barely lubricates.

I've had great success with VDH deluxe and Col. Conk, so I don't think that it's all my technique.

Dusk smells great and I'd really like to use it.
 
Nope, not your technique, its just darn crummy shave soap. Use it as a bath soap if you like the smell.

I have to shave in the shower due to spinal stenosis and have found that Oil Of Olay hand soap does a great job of lathering up to shave with. I cannot stand up long enough to shave at the sink but with a shower stool to sit on I get a really good shave. I have been saving my soap remnents with a plan to melt them down into a single bar to shave with. And yes I am so tight ole George has to put sunglasses on when I open my wallet
