... hone your shooting skills, and just have fun.

The above is what is printed on the sleeve of the Sig-Sauer P226 .22LR Conversion Unit case.

Sig-Sauer also plans to release similar .22LR conversion units for the P220 and P228/P229 later this year.

I was able to fondle and photograph the prototype at the 2008 SHOT Show. See: http://lundestudio.com/2008SHOTShow/

One change that I see is that the magazine now have witness holes.

I have a pair of P226STs and a plain Jane P226, and plan to use this with one of my P226STs.

Now, all I need is some free time to actually use it.

I have just about the cheapest shooting gun ever, my Remington Target Master, a .22 short, long, long rifle single shot bolt action (no magazine).

I bought it at auction for $70 and didn't know it was worth about $300. It has almost all of it's finish ~98% but the stock has a few dings, much better than most of the Target Masters that you see today.

The best part is it shoots way better than I can and a .22 LR value pack will keep you shooting for days.

I would like to find one of the .22 conversions built for the G1 FAL but those are $$$. I have one of the Colt AR15 .22 LR conversion kits but I have never used it.

That's pretty great news! I love shooting my P220, but .45 ammo is getting hella expensive these days. The P220 with .22 should have no recoil at all. I'm assuming the slide will be aluminum, with a light spring, right? I love shooting rapid-fire strings with 22's. It's kinda obnoxious at the range, but who cares. I like making a pistol do an imitation of a machine gun, with all the little holes going right in the 10 ring. People assume that when you're shooting that fast, you're just spraying bullets all over the place. They roll their eyes and harrumph knowingly. It's funny to see their faces when I pull the target back to the line. The P220 should be awesome for that, with its sweet, light trigger and heavy frame.

Cool! I didn't know they were out yet. Did it come with one mag or two? I'm going to get one for my 220 when it comes out.

Those are great . I have an Advantage arms 22 conversion for glock 23/19/32 .Make sure you get extra clips . Shot about 200 rds yesterday .I even went one step farther and added nite sites on mine . Cheap to shoot and a great trainer . My pics don't compare

Yes I know.

We should just have him order two extras of everything.

.
make that 3, and he should because he's a $hit disturber, cost me mucho deniro, cards all maxed out. i'll bet he's sitting in his swimming pool trying to thing of new crap to buy.....

How many $$$$$? I have a P226 9mm, a P229 9mm and a P229DAK in .40. A .22 for the P229 would be great!

The 22 conversions are great. I don't own any Sigs but I do have a conversion unit for a Glock 26. My favorite 22lr conversion is the Marvel Customs unit for my Valtro 1911. That thing is super duper accurate:thumbup: Those things can shoot half inch groups at 50yds on a ransom rest. I obviously cannot shoot that well to do that... but I do find that it shoots more accurately than my bull barrel Ruger Mark IV.

ps. Doesn't Sig make a 22lr Pistol? Mosquito???? I was thinking about buying one not long ago.
