I have the wonderful Roxon Flex Titan. It uses both the Flex modular and Phantom implement system. The Phantom implement system uses magnetically stackable plastic cases that are large enough to fit nicely in a Multi-tool case. The Flex Modular is not that convenient. I happened to have an empty SPAM can at the radio station. I discovered the encased Flex Modular tools are a perfect fit.

I don’t understand this, although admittedly I haven’t looked that deep into this “multi tool”. These are attachments for a multi tool that you are supposed to carry on your person? What is the point of the this system of tools and the plastic cases? Are you supposed to carry all of this in a sheath of some sort? A knapsack? They are trying to do too much.

The whole insane EDC thing is trying to do too much.

What you can do is customize the Multi-Tool for a given job. Marlinspikes, there is a set of gun tools, key blanks, fish hook remover/fish scaler, wire strippers, etc.

Here is one tool I have that is in the "where have you been all this time?" Category. Besides the rule, it has a small but powerful Neodymium magnet at the tip. I have found that this little magnet is very handy for fishing chassis screws that fall into the innards of 100-pound boat anchor radios.

Nope, 100% of the time I’d have the tool outfitted with every other attachment than what I needed that day.

I like the ingenuity, but I can’t have a spam can of attachments within my reach all day.

Actually, Roxon has this covered: the Roxon Flex Companion. It is designed to be loaded with any extra implements you might need. You can purchase it with a bare frame and add the Flex implements you need for a given job. I have this one.
