I am saving up for a Sebenza and a Yarborough GB 7" from CRK, and from what I've seen, CRK himself has the best prices. Even eBay is higher than him! Other than buying second hand, are there any dealers, both online and walk in stores, that would give me a better deal? Since this is my first knife that cost more than $150, I am a little put off by the price, but realize that for quality production pieces, this is reasonable. Any help is appreciated, and I've got about a year before I will get the Sebenza.

SHS, ever visit the passaround forum? We're about to send a large sebbie out for a passaround, you might want ot check it out if you've never tried one before. I definitely wait for a used one to show up here on BF, Used ones go for $250 TO $300 or so and will save you some money.

Also we had a GB on passaround a year or two ago, decent knife, but I'd think more along the lines of a swamp rat unless there is something about a GB that you specifically want.

Honestly if you are looking for both without needing any repair work up front, don't fret about the price. There is just not much fluctuation in price or quality.

What else is important to you may help guide your decisions.

I Roamed The Net For A Long Time ,there Isnt Much Discount On C.r.k. He Seems To Hold His Dealer,s To Msrp And If You Buy Direct It,s Higher.

I believe that CRK dealers must sell at the MSRP, or they are not allowed to sell CRK products. :(

The Green Beret will probably be easier to find on the net than it will be to find a dealer that has a Sebenza in stock. You might want to check at this link HERE if you're looking for a Sebbie right now. :D Really great people over there...they even have Layaway!!

Good Luck

The best way to get a deal on a Sebenza is to take advantage of the "For Sale" forums right here on BFC. Keep your eyes open and strike while the iron is hot when you see a deal.

You got that right, stjames. I remember when I saw a Large Sebbie, that was signed by Chris himself, that sold for ONLY $140!!!

When I got my first one, I tried to find a deal. As others have mentioned, the best deals are on Bladeforums and, to a point, the other forum. I've seen excellent, used Sebbies go for 200 to 300, a good margin of them were new, mint in box and never used. Few, if any internet sites have Sebbies for that amount. If you want to take a chance (chance IMHO), fleabay may have some deals from a good dealer. Hope this helps.
