I was in Walmart earlier and saw a folding buck knife for $19.98, it had what looked like aluminum handles (silver color) and an non circular opening hole on the blade. It also Said BUCK USA on the blade. It looked very thin and lightweight. Being dumb I forgot to look and see what model it was. After a quick view on the buck website, I am not sure what I saw in store. Anyone help?

I've seen pics of the 721 in a blister pack and a youtube video of a guy with one in a box so there might be a price difference based on packaging and or geographic area. OP called it aluminum or a silver color. Probably not a stretch from that to grey, gunmetal grey, etc.

Stopped at my local Wally World and they had the spot in the display for the 721 but were sold out. Price was $28 and change. I believe I was mistaken about the blister pack. I think the photo I saw was of any empty display slot and I mistook it for a blister pack hanger. The SG clerk told me the ones he had in were in boxes. Guess I'll keep checking until they get some more in.

Both of the ones I bought were in blister packs.

Ok I went back today. It is the 721 Slimline, and it is $30, the walmart employees just placed it on the wrong peg.

I went and got one tonight based on this thread. I really liked it. It reminds me of the Spyderco type of knives. It came in a blister pack. I got the last one in stock. It was orange, my last choice in colors. I'm not sure about getting the other colors because I like so many others better, but the pocket clip makes it take anywhere's capable. It did sharpen up nice too.........

I picked up a 721 slimline in green at one of my local wallyworlds. I had to stop by 4 of them to find the knife I ultimately bought. Three of them carried orange 721s in blisterpacks; the fourth carried green ones in boxes. I'm really digging the knife; I think this is a great design that is attractive and ergonomic, but I do wish Buck would fix whatever design or manufacturing problem is causing the slight lock mechanism play. Given my intended use for the knife and that the play isn't between the lock and blade, I'm not worried about lockup failure, but it does take away a bit from my pride of ownership of an otherwise very nice knife.
