Wow, saw a buck strider for the first time in a local army surplus sporting goods store. I had no idea it was such a large folder. I'm used to sak's and maybe a benchmade CQC7 at the most. This post contains nothing but gosh golly B.S. but i still had to make it. That thing was a monster, i can't imagine trying to carry that in my pocket.

NICE job on that satin. The new "finish" on mine is .. stained .. discolored .. tarnished .. very USED .. :D But it is still sharp and smooth as when I got it -- secondhand.

I love my Buck Strider...after I had it for about a week I sold my AR and now I have just as awsome a blade and lotsa money!

When I got my Sb-1 (I love my fiancee!) I was impressed with its size as well. But I didn't think it was a monster, but rather it was full sized. Grab an SAK and a Buck Strider and you'll see what I mean. The Buck Strider has a handle meant for human hands :) The width and thickness of the handle makes if very secure. The Buck/Strider is a real "tool" knife if you ask me. Features like a full sized handle mean you can use the knife hard and all day long. I would like to get the spear point version now too.

By the way (maybe Nonbox will be most interested in this), my folder has been modified a bit as well! My fiancee paid for the lion's share of this knfie which I got on the for sale forums here (b-day present). I got it from Richard Derespina. He mirror polished the point, satin finished the blade AND jeweled the liners :) Me likes, me likes very much.
