Saw a few Beckers Today at a Local Gun Show

This morning I went to one of the periodic local gun shows just to see what they might have. Sometimes it can be a good place to pick up accessories, parts, tools, and other things that can generally be difficult to find in local stores. Although my experience has been that their prices on guns are generally not really very good. This trip I spent more time than usual checking out the knife tables, hoping to find something unexpected.

So I was pleasantly surprised to find a few Beckers! One dealer had mostly real cheap knives, but he had a few decent brands in a couple of the cases. And there in the middle was a used, but like new BK2! That is the first BK2 I've had the opportunity to hold and it felt really, really good in my hand. I really wanted to bring it home, but we had very different ideas of the value, so I kept searching.

In the middle of the room there was another dealer with a huge display of various knives. And there in 1 case he had 4 brand new Beckers! A BK17, a BK3, and two BK4s. That was the first BK17 I've seen in person and I would have loved to buy it, but again I thought his prices were totally unreasonable.

One of these days I'll just have to break down and order what I want. Either that or stop coming in here to browse these threads and pictures that fuel this addiction!

Might as well go ahead. You know you're going to. You'll be stripping, modding, posting pictures, giving murphy hell, getting your Beckerhead number......etc.

Why fight it?

I pretty quit going to gun shows because of the ridiculous prices. Pay 7 bucks for parking.. 15 bucks to get in... and guns are still retail or higher? Eff that. I'll order from Bud's, Jet Guns, or get 'em used on the local BackPage.

Pretty slick to see some Becker knives there. Seems silly that they would be so over priced when you can just order them on Amazon.

I went to the local sporting good store for the first time in a while (nowadays we usually frequent the Campmor nearby). I was shocked to see all the good knives they had, from Spydercos to Benchmades to, yes, Beckers. The BK9 was over a hundred dollars, but I was thrilled nevertheless to know that not every camping store in the area is selling crappy Chinese knife-shaped objects.
