Some things I think of are better left unsaid. Trust me on this.

Sorry I can't say who, but there are some good artisans out there if you ask around. The person who did this *only* does it as a hobby and has no interest in doing it for money. It's as nice a piece of workmanship as I've seen though!

ps: It's an 18" WWII...a pure-d fighter now! :D

Beutiful!
Is it leather on wood?
How does it "feel" to carry on the belt, compared to the original scabbards??

peace, karl

Yup...leather on wood. It has a new wood form, not reused from standard scabbard, fits like a sock and totally smooth...the best fit I've ever felt. It is also feather light..carries well and draws better.

oooo i gotta get me one of those for my WWII:):)! Excellent scabbard, Nasty. youmust be very proud:)

I am proud of it...but even moreso the friendship that brought it about!

BTW, the strap is really only needed for rough activity...you could actually unstrap it and go all day with it readyfor action yet still have a silky draw!

Exactly! I'm going to think about it's creator every time I use it. :D :D :D

went there to pick up some money from a DIJ project, and the old khuk that I got from Ivan Campos, Nasty got the other one from him). Course, we ended up doin' the show-n-tell thing with a few of our latest acquisitions. He had been working with his Delta 1x42, and getting wonderful results sharpening all of his khuks and other HI blades. he also cleaned up a bunch of user khuks he'd traded from other from other folks, including a mirror-polish job on a Ganja Ram of considerable proportions. The GR has to be the biggest khuk in all dimensions that Ive seen.
I got to show off the Wife and daughter, which gave Bev and my wife something 2 do while we were doing the man stuff.

We got to talk spirituality fer a while, and Nasty has found his! (I'm a tribalist and tribal spritualist meself, so it is always of great interest to talk to folks abt such). I love when we can all find our path on the Big Path. We can be made whole again.

I showed him a couple of advanced fighting techniques with the Cherokee rose, including the infamous "wrap shot" that is intended for double edged sword use, but the sharpened top edge on the CR works for this as well.
We finished with Nasty bringing the edge up to a toothy razor sharp on my SOG Pentagon (he made it really really sharp, but i asked him to back it down a bit, as i prefer some tooth to my edges).

It was a great day for a road trip, and the family likes the drives, and we said we'd come back somethime this summer to camp and goof off with Nasty and Bev. I see now why Yvsa&Barb wanted to keep her, cause Bev is a keeper! It was cool for us to meet each other's better halves

Yer welcome back anytime Bro...

VERY nice! I love my Terry Sisco like that. Really the best most practical sheath for a khukuri. When I am just using one around home I like the regular sheath cause it's easy to put in and out, no snaps, but if you are carrying one any distance those kind of sheaths seem to be lighter and lay better against your body.

Beautiful handle on the WW2 too.

The original scabbard didn't fit at all...the knife rattled around in it like a marble in a box! As sharp as I'm getting these, it would have been totally stupid and irresponsible to try to use it. The dang thing fits my Hanuman...which is a much larger and thicher blade!
