Saw blade Knife w/Shadetree scales

Here is another blade I made from a saw blade,etched,hollow grind my first(not perfect,but not bad for me).I used some more Shadetree laminate from Todd,nickel silver tubing pins.The sheath I made from 10 oz leather,handstitched--Thanks for looking-Regards Butch

I like the looks of that. Carharts and jeans, pretty casual.

Great looking knife and I bet it cuts great with that hollow grind. How thick was the saw blade you started with?
 
I really like that one. the grind looks really good, that thin stuff is a real challenge to get even.

and excellent sheath too, i know your were doing kydex but i like the leather alot more:thumbup: looks like a great size blade!

Thanks Ivan,Kydex is easier but nothing like the smell and feel of leather--Regards Butch:thumbup:

very nice looking knife. how do you cut out the shape from the saw blade? and do you retemper after you get your final blade shape?

Thanks,I use a plasma cutter I bought when I was doing a lot of blacksmithing projects,I just did an edge quench on this one to avoid a lot of warpage,thin blades take an evil edge-Here's another saw blade knife I just finished-This one will shave a gnats ass:DRegards Butch
