Had a great day today thanks to this Forum and Esav Benyamin. I have been interested in a folder and discovered blade forums. Further reading led me to admire the Sebenza. Unfortunately, I live in a rural area with no dealers within a few hour drive.

Esav posted on a thread answering a question I posted and I noticed that he lived in the town that I grew up in. I PM'ed him and he graciously invited me to see his collection if I got back to town for a visit. Well, today was the day and it was quite educational. Esav shared his knowledge and passion for knife collecting with me. He is a considerable resource for the blade forum community.

The Sebenza is even more substantial when seen in person compared to the photos. I am really impressed by the build quality of this knife. Definitely a knife to last a lifetime.

I was also treated to an incredibly varied collection of unusual knives and a lesson in knife sharpening that was great. Quite a visit; thanks again Esav.

What a wonderful gesture from a fine and knowledgeable gentleman.

The only issue I see here is the incipient change to the assets on your balance sheet: cash vs. Sebbies. :D

Oh yeah, welcome to the forum.

Cheers,
dan :)

Must have been a day you won't forget. Lucky you were able to get together.

So when is your fist sebbie arriving?

I've got my eye on a Sebenza but it will probably be a while before I make the purchase. So far I have bought two folders, a Lone Wolf and a custom knife. The sebbie would be my next and hopefully last acquisition.

"The sebbie would be my next and hopefully last acquisition." :D:D:D Isn't that precious. I remember those days of denial.;) Seriously, I hope you get the chance to get one. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Just remember there's no turning back.
