Saw this today in a magazine.

Looks pretty neat. If it comes in at around a ~$25ish price range, I may just get one for the heck of it. Tool Logic makes some pretty nice tools for affordable prices. Although, wish the bladesteel was regular AUS8 as opposed to AUS8A.

I just wonder how strong the pliers? It would be nice if they were as sttrong as like the leatherman pliers.

i do enjoy havin' own a couple of ToolLogic products.
my fav is the nifty credit card range, also fancy the mini SL-1 folder/LED/whistle.
these's are all fairly small micro gadgets and generally pretty handy for easy goin' light weight jobs.
And then the SL-1 pro came along, neat design with a larger knife; same capabilities, stronger now, but could be a tad heavier than it's worth.
Mate that with a pair of fold-in pliers (which may or may not be more durable than built by the premier brands).
Just how much heavier is that goin' to be in the pocket?
Well. I don't think I would want to add that to my collection, just yet!
Interesting but not an entirely new concept, I'll wait for some feedback before givin' it a shot. I'm for now, not just entirely sold.

Looks pretty cool, but I think other tools really have the market cornered regarding this set up (unless it does come in with an attractive sub $30 price tag). I think that the TL tools really nailed it when they came out with the knife/fire steel combo. Great little back up knife that doesn't weight a lot. Throw it in a vest and forget about it. SHTF and you have a capable blade and a way to make fire.

yikes...I'll pass for that price. i think just the 20 bucks more for the Skeletool CX is worth it.

Word from the Shot Show is that the president of Tool Logic wasn't real thrilled with the build quality of the first SL Pliers. Some were already shipped to retailers, but we were told production has been held up until they made a few improvements.

Good move I say, better to make something right than to make it quick

 To Tool Logic and their management if that were the case. By golly, a company that cares about their product? What is the world coming to? :D

that being the case; hope they get that sorted out!
get back with the old contractors and leave QC to their Japanese counterparts.
