While using the wood saw in my old-style Victorinox Fireman, I was wondering if the "hump" present in the one-hand opening models makes it difficult to have a firm and comfortable grip while using the saw.
I don't see a problem with a "static grip" (I mean, not actually using the saw), but maybe the protruding hump becomes a problem when applying force on actual usage.
How do you use the saw in your OH SAKs? do you place your index on the hump or next to it?
I´m pondering the acquisition of a Vic new Soldier as a back-up to the Fireman (one for hiking around, the other one to the BOB), but your feedback on this issue might change my idea (or not).
Best regards.
