When I started making knives years ago, the first pattern I made I named the Thorn which was named by my son. I've decided to play a little and took the basic pattern of the Thorn , half scale the handle and add a hole like that of my Deadeye model, and add a few waves to it.
This one is D-2 steel with black micarta scales.Flat grind from 5/32" stock, it has a 3.5" blade with an 8" overall lg.
What do Ya'll think?
Thank you

Nice knife, nice sheath... ...but what's the purpose of the hole?

Kind regards,

Jos

Thanks all:thumbup:

Jos, the hole started as an idea of my bro.-in-laws, as a grip or reference point for the thumb or index finger. It works damn good with a all-position carry kydex sheath. I have a necker that has a hole in it like that. I've carried and use it most every day for over a year now and haven't had to tweek the kydex yet:cool:
