I really like the way this knife turned out, The scales are something I tried before with the rotary table on my milling machine and while it worked I was less than impressed. The way I did it this time worked well. The steel is ATS-34, with cryo, The frame is 416 integral bolsters and liners. I took the liners down to .030 to keep the knife thin, its under 3/8" thick, 3 3/8" closed, 5 3/4 open. Comments welcome. Ken.

Ken, that is a real fine looking Barlow. I especially like the way you kept it slim. Very nice!

How did you do the sawed bone? The radius lines look different from side to side, so I'm guessing there might have been elbow grease expended...?:)

Really great looking knife! Both the blade and the reddish handles are just awesome. Whatever sawcut procedure you did this time, I think you nailed it. IMO, good choice to not stamp a big old "BARLOW" on the handle. :)

Ford I'm sure the radii is different side to side don't think I'll shoot for a bookmatch. Variable speed 9" disc have to play with speed a bit
one clean shot into fresh 36grit abrasive the tendency is to want to move it back and forth. Straight in, straight back out hope this helps.
Ken.

Ken, thanks for the explanation. Keep care of your talented thumbs moving to that 36grit. Some of us hope to be lucky enough to get some more of your nice cutlery.

I like that sawed bone and the long pull on that Barlow. With it being less then 3/8" thick, that one will sure ride nice in the pocket. Beautiful.

Ken just love that Barlow. Are you going to make more.
I would like to have one.
Just think you make some great knives. :D

Nice barlow, Ken! The bone turned out super, but the crowning touch is the sunk joint! That makes it an anytime/anypocket EDC!!
The best old Barlows were the semi-sunk-joint Robesons, and yours goes a step further!
I hope you make some more!!

Great looking Barlow! I think the bone turned out great too....nice work!

Nicely done, Ken. You really caught the spirit with that one!!!
