its here my bm 42a!!!!!!!!! holy **** this knife is awesome im so glad it made it!! thanks to knifezilla for sending balis to Canada, it took two months but its here!

one question what size are the torx screws for the pins and latch?? the pins seem loose but i wouldnt know comsidering its my first bali

Grats on your new toy :)

The latch pin takes a T6 Torx, I believe. Don't worry about it feeling too loose, as long it locks up tight.

Six and eight. Wal-Mart (de Canada?), $2.00 in a six pack of screwdrivers, or German made Wiha at specialty tool stores for a bit more.

Yeah I figured you got it by the title. Well congrats, have fun and make sure you have lots of bandaids

thanks for the replies guys

i noticed i made two scuffs on the middle of the blade, it looks like it has been hitting the handles a little bit, to loose or it suppose to be like that a bit? like i can feel some play if i try to bend the handles (not bend you know what i mean, lightly)

Congrats. And two months is pretty good in my book! I waited 2.5 months for one of mine, and I live in the US. That scuffing is the handles hiting the blade. Get that T-8 Torx bit and tighten it up. My 42-S is horrible about that, but My 42-AS is a lot better. I think the Anodizing helps keep the screw heads in place. Have fun flipping!

You got a 42 for your very first Bali! You suck you lucky dog! :D

This means that he will never truly understand and appreciate how well made this knife is! Trust everyone here, it one of the best!

You are lucky, just like I was about 3 weeks ago. I also bought a bm42A but it cost me $123.47 including shipping and handleing.:D (2 day air). Its great isn't it? If some how you didnt get the torx screw sizes they are t8(piviots) and t6(latch). I got my set of the torx srewdrivers at wallmart for $1.97. You also get to choose the color of them. They had blue, yellow, grey and green. The one thing you have to look out for is the latch. Since you have the bm42(a) when you latch it, it might scrape off the finish. On my safe handle, it has the latch scrape marks on it because I opend it and it scraped against the handle so it took some of the finish with it. Oh well you can barely see it. One more thing if you havent found out for your self. ITS EXTREMELY SHARP  ! at least mine was.:D

Brian- ps. You're lucky that you dont have to get use to the weight change from your bali before your first bm42.:D

Congratulations to you and Jonny. I was starting to doubt that we would be successful. I don't think I would want to try it again anytime soon!
