Can any one out there tell me what a Saxes "long knife" looks like or where to find a good pic. I have found out a considerable amount how it was used in the original night of long knives (original recording as guys have been doing the dirty for eons).

Any more history or where modern versions are made would be welcome.

Thanks

do a search on bladeforums for "seax", "langseax", "scramaseax" and so on...

I've made a number of them myself - fun little projects. I should have another up for grabs in a week or two.

Anyway, for a more mainstream langseax, look for a Paul Chen seax. Very nice, well made, good sheath.

Let me know if I can be of any further help.

Dan,

Thanks for the search words. Google has produced some interesting variations.

The pics are all great. I particularly like the last blade but no. 4 is a great mix of techniques using intermitant twist with other styles.
