Well, saturday was a darn good day , I went down to the local PO and picked up my newest "sweetheart" and here she is.
(pardon the links but this is where the pics are)

This BEAUTY was made by Knifemaker Mr. BL Goode

Love those sexy curves huh? Oh and check out that Hamon !! She is just under 10 oal' and a whopping 3/16 thick ! The scales are some real purty Cocobolo , absoluty stunning brass/black mosaic pins , the blade is so dark and shiny , makes me want to do a little dance. The blade steel is 0-1. (oops)

The 'concept' of the knife was some of Brian's ideas and a few of my own , basically I wanted a camp/trail knife that could be used for defensive purposes as well and Brian came up with the rest :) as thick as she is , still pretty lightwieght and fits my hand very well.
Brass thonghole tube and handmade leather sheath to boot.

What do you folks think ? :)

Looks like a GOODE-EE (pun intended of course!):D It's nice to have input into the design, and wind up with your well-made personal piece! Now is this a safe queen, or really a user??

Thanks guys ! :)

Now is this a safe queen, or really a user??

LOL , funny I told my brother after showing it to him , "now if I can just bring myself to use it!".
Time will tell my friend.:D

The blade steel is D2 , sorry for forgetting to mention that quite important aspect.
:)

I have wanted a B.G knife for some time. Very nice:thumbup: I'm quite jelouse......

If you do use it let us know how "She" does. From what has been mentioned here and on other forums, Brian makes a very fine knife.

Congrats.....:D

Glad it in good hands!! The blade steel is 0-1 with a differential hardening and heat treated butt :) Glad you finially got her home :)

Brian is a great guy to do business with. If leather sheaths aren't your thing, his kydex sheaths are great. The knives have stunning fit and finish.

That is my kinda knife! I love the look, which is beautiful but at the same time all business.

Now that everyone agrees on it's aesthetics you need to let us know about functionality. It would be a sin to put that blade on a pedestal and not use it. ;) :p

The blade steel is 0-1.

Rebeltf: What do you think about the leather sheath? I've been thinking about getting one for mine.

:D Thanks for the cool comments folks ! Brian makes one hell of a fine knife

N.R. , I like the sheath just fine , it fits with sort of a little 'click' like it should and turned upside down and shaken some it stays inside so I'm not too worried about it coming out on a hike etc.. I thought about kydex but leather has so much charm , it's almost like if you bought a Porsche and chose between vinyl and leather seats , what one is goin to get the ladies ? lol ! odd comparison I know. :D

Sigh......... I know I know.. lol I will force myself to use it for some work on around the backyard this weekend if the rain lets up , part me would stick her in my drawer and take her out once a day to make sure everything kosher , but nah , I'll put 'er to use soon enough , I'll tell you this much I've been cutting papers and cardboards and arm hair and strings and ropes and dead leaves offa a few plants and she sharpens up Razor sharp on my crock stick in no time.

what is the length of the blade? is the steel 0-1 or D2

My bad , I thought it was d2 , while indeed it is 01 and the blade lenghth is 4.75 inches , 3/16 thick.
