"I have always had a great deal of respect for members of the Law Enforcement community.
I love Ventura, its home to me and to my company and we always try to give something back to our community.
My brother served in the Sheriff's department for many years. His loyal companion Falke was Ventura Sheriff's department's first dog; and my brother and he won the California State K-9 Championships that very first year.
I'm incredibly proud of my brother and when he retired I wanted to honor his great achievements by donating a dog to the K-9 unit.
Dano was the first dog that I donated to the Sheriff's Department and he has already gone on to do great things. With his determined attitude and fighting spirit, he's a credit to my brother's name.
This year, I wanted to donate another dog to the K-9 unit in memory of my late Father. He was a great man, and a strong positive role model in my life.
Known as "Tommy" to his friends, my Father was a farmer for over 20 years, an avid hunter and a truly fantastic marksman who gave me my love of shooting and hunting as well as my strong work ethic.
He remains a great inspiration to me and I hope to live up to his memory.
I hope to continue to donate dogs to the Sheriff's department K-9 unit for as long as I am able. I'm proud to make some small contribution to their work".
