I never cease to be amazed at some of the seller hype on ebay. For instance this one.

"THIS IS A RARE SCHRADE (OLD TIMER) X-TIMER, 24OTX LIMITED EDITION KNIFE. THE BLADES LOOK LIKE GUN METAL. THEY ACTUALLY ARE TITANIUM. IT HAS A RAISED UNIQUE BRASS X-TIMER LOGO ON THE BLACK DELRIN"

How did I miss that these are titanium blades on a 24 OTX? Naw, he's gotta just be shining the bidders. Right?

I thought they were white gold with the prices some folks have been asking.

Gosh and I have taken my OTX to pieces, a small two bladed jack on a serpentine frame, I was not happy with the fit and finish so I filed down the tangs, overdid it and hammered them back to length, did some not-so-good file work on the spines, finally decided to take it apart by filing down the center pin, which ruined one handle slab...

I guess I can either leave it alone and use it to show to people how those Schrades were put together or make new handle slabs, make new pins from brass rod, put it back together and call it a Customized Schrade.

Amazing! I did the same thing with my last computer! It looks neat with a patina and filed CPU. And the box of leftover parts makes a dandy paperweight. It doesn't work as well as it once did though. Maybe it was sending my buddy in New York a magarita that did it. Heck, he didn't even get the drink. What a waste of good Cuervo gold.

Walmart had an "X-Timer" two-blade slipjoint with titanium nitride blade coating. I wish I grabbed one, but too late now.
