Yes, I'm a stingy bastid at times, always trying to keep the good ones for myself (if you know me, you know that's a joke - I get as much of a kick from getting a friend into the RMK they're looking for, as I do finding the same for self...)

Yet, it's time to let a few go to new homes, this being one. I've got a special appreciation for Naval Aviators, and that's where this one is headed, to the home of a former fighter pilot. I think it'll be a good home... :)

A rare Randall knife, it's likely a one of a kind with the long saber-ground blade. Bye bebe...

I've been drooling over that one for a while. It sounds like it is going to the right place though.

WTF is that thing? It looks like something between a #1 and a Sasquatch.

What is that a 9" blade? Very interesting grind on that one.

Sheldon..I've been 'lusting' over that RMK for over a year...but alas I just couldn't afford it.

Same here. Not just out of my price range, but way out, though. Congrats to whoever was lucky enough to pick it up.

I would like to hear which model and the specifics of that knife too.

I just finished reading the book in your avatar the other day Melvin-Purvis (yes, I know who he was too).

He's already told the story to his friends; dunno if he'll feel like telling it here or not. I'm certainly not going to.

Let's just say that, back when Bo was around, one-of-a-kind forgings weren't uncommon.

Glad you found what you were looking for, and hope you liked the book too.
