What kind of background is needed to attend this seminar? Must one be a student of Sayoc Kali?

You do not need to be a Sayoc member to attend this seminar. The seminar is open to the public and beginners are welcome.

Wear anything comfortable. The seminars are all hands on stuff. If you have 2 aluminum training blades, bring those. If not Guro Jeff usually has some to loan out. It's gonna be a great seminar. Can't wait to meet you larry.
