The Atienza brothers have very graciously offered to do some demos of their highly effective and street aware family system of Atienza Kali at my seminar...

i am honored by their participation and their friendship

if people are hoping for an opportunity to meet the Atienzas and get a glimpse of the valuable training they have to offer, and see what Sayoc Kali is all about, please come and attend my seminar in manhattan... it really should be a good one!

Folks,

Had the privilege of attending a shorter (3.5 hour) seminar Guro Jeff gave in February. Excellent. Was accessible to both beginning and advanced students.

Anyone that wants to get started with knife training, or is curious about Sayoc Kali should attend.

Seminar's in the Village, just south of 8th Street on Lafayette, very close to the #6 (Astor Place) and BMT (8th Street) trains, and walking distance from the #1 train (West 4th) and the big West 4th Street stop (get off on the north end of the station) on Avenue of the Americas.

See you there.

BTT from Alan, who'll be there on Saturday. Not that I'm a Sayoc Kali student, but Guro Jeff's a fine teacher and a good dude, and, IMHO, Sayoc Kali's a well thought out system.

If someone is hesitant because they're a beginner, don't be. Guro Jeff will start from the beginning with you. He has the skill and depth of knowledge to provide good training for advanced students, also.

Recently,
I went to Guro Jeff Chung's one-day seminar in Manhattan.
I was treated with outstanding service. As Alan had stated before that Guro Chung goes from the beginning and show those with advance knowledge where his training is is similar to theirs.

He went through the 9 steps of Sayoc Kali with me during lunch and helped me through the understanding of his system.

He makes the understanding of his systems easy of the beginner to understand. He teaches you to get involved with things that happen in real world situations ( ie: being bumped, slapped, pushed , falling, etc.).

His knowledge was a good add on to what I have been trained. I will continue to train with him because what he teaches applies and for what it worth any knowledge is better than none.

Thanks to Guro Chung for a outstanding seminar, even though I came 2 1/2 hours late. James Keating was correct in what he stated " No one person's art is the one "

Folks,

Guro Jeff taught a good Sayoc Kali seminar a week and a half ago. It was packed with information. He showed his usual high levels of skill and enthusiasm. Two sets were taught, plus a series of nine disarms. Once the moves of the first set were learned (at least to some extent), Guro Jeff taught the set as a flow exercise with a partner trying to counter each knife attack. Appreciate the help from Guro Jeff's students.

The Atienza Kali group, Guro Carl presiding, gave a very skillful and spirited demonstration. It was a real treat!

Many thanks to Guro Jeff, Guro Carl and their students and associates.

Alan

P.S. Check out Guro Jeff's next seminar.
