SayocWinkler Hawk Holstering clip from Traker Dan?
I came across this holster on YouTube made by this guy named tracker Dan. Anybody have any experience whit this holster? How is this Tracker Dan?

I've always wanted to get a Sayoc-Winkler hawk, that rig makes me want to get even more. The price is way out of reach for me, though.

That rig seems like it would be very practical, should be a good one.

Looks good to me.

The Tracker Dan sheath is great. The youtube video shows it in detail. What you see is what you get. I own two, one for each of the two designed sayoc-winkler hawks. The one in the picture above also is a fine sheath but is not the Tracker Dan sheath. I think it is the one that comes with the hawk if the hawk is bought from the Daniel Winkler website. The last time I bought one there were only a few Tracker Dan sheaths left in stock - in fact there may have only been one left.

Where did you get your to sheaths from Glenn?

I think I got mine from trackerdan.com. I just visited that site and they are not shown. It could be that he has sold out. When I bought mine he indicated he was running out and didn't have a mould to make more. You could email him at hello@trackerdan.com and ask if any more are available.

The Tracker Dan carriers are great and as a user of the axes he has a lot of knowledge about features that make it easy to carry and deploy.

As far as I know he is still making them and they can be ordered from either Sayoc or Tracker Dan himself. The carriers I make are not offered on the Sayoc/Winkler Hawk web site, only Tracker Dan's.

Edgewood,

I just did an interview with Tracker Dan last week...known him for a little while.

His hawk sheath is probably the best thing going, in my opinion. He actually makes some hawks of his own, along with some killer blades (what the interview was about), but he's been making sheaths for blades since he was in the the SEALs.

Here's a pic of his current rig, and some pics of the hawks and blades he makes:

I'm willing to bet you'd definitely appreciate the design for your Winkler hawk.

Does are awesome man. I have admired his sheaths for some time now. But the guy is very elusive. Where can email him, to ask about does axes and sheaths?
Where are we going to be able to read you interview with the guy.

His email is:TrackerDan@NorthernRed.com

The interview will be up on most forums (just need to figure out where to put it up, here), but it will be featured on FirearmsTrainingandTactics.com (where Tracker Dan agreed to take some questions and post updates on his offerings). The article should be up before the end of the month.

Cheers,
Jim

Anywhere i can see his custom stuff? I haven’t been able to find a sight on the web. That tomahawk looks intriguing. Looks like a larger version of the R&D axe.

I'll work on getting some more pics for you next change I get. In the mean-time, you have mail. :)

This is my current rig, the length of the full sized sayoc is practically made for it to be strapped on a plate carrier. I keep both my blades on my weak side as back up weapons. I know very few guys that actually carry an axe this way. It’s good to see that I’m not the only one carrying a hawk to war.

Cool video. Nice to see someone using their "tactical tomahawk," for skills other than fighting or chopping stuff.
