SB Stretch or SB Delica

Hey guys what do you think I should get? I have regular Stretch, and no Delica. I was initially thinking I would get the SB Stretch because I love the Stretch, and really wanted to try SB. But, the Delica would be a cheaper way (~$30) to try out SB, and get my first Delica, so what do you think?

I think you should get a regular Delica now and decide if you like it. And then get the Super Blue version of the knife you like more.
Do we know if these are coming soon?

I have handled Delica's and like them, it seems like a knife a Spyderco guy should just have. The Delica according to GP says quarter 3 2013, and the Stretch just says 2013. Sal said they would release a Super Blue knife about every two months. The Caly 3 was first. I have a Goddard sprint on pre-order as well, so when that is released may affect things too.

There's way less Stretch variants as compared to the Delica, I'd get the Stretch if you can only get one Superblue if I were you. There's plenty of Delicas to chose from also, how about a zdp in BRG?

I'm getting Superblue Stretches and an Endura.

I will probably go with the SB Delica. Purely out of the smaller package and cheaper price.

I would get the sb delica just in case you don't you don't like it instead of spending all your money on something you don really like.

If I were you I would get the SB Stretch, that way there will be one more SB Delica for me to buy! :D:thumbup:

I love the Stretch a LOT, but I'm going for the SB Delica. I'm sure I'd use it a lot more because of the size difference - for me it is easier to pocket a Delica than a Stretch. Just m $0.02. I've got the SB Mule, and it is a superb cutter...

To be honest, I'd start with a regular Delica 4 FFG to see if even like the knife (pretty sure you will) before moving into the more expensive sprint runs.

I myself am partial to the Stretch. There's just a plethora of Delicas in circulation, and while the vast majority are not in Super Blue, I just like to be different. I like the blade profile of the Stretch a bit more seeing as it reminds me of the old Hunter model and lends itself to be pretty useful. Still as much as I like the blade profile I dunno if it's worth a slight premium. Super Blue is cool steel, and either way I bet you'll come to enjoy it. Life's short, you could always just buy both. LOL.

I'm assuming (with no basis to actual fact) that it will be in a darker gray than what we see on the gray Delica/Endura VG10's. I just doubt they'd do it in the exact same color and I would think they wouldn't go lighter on the gray neither. Just an assumption.

I've got my sights set on both the Stretch and Endura. I like a larger knife in general so I have a hunch I'll head for the Endura. I mainly want the Stretch version because I've never tried one before.. I just feel as if I won't like the peaks on the inside of the handle, at the rear and near the choil. Bleh, I think I'm talking myself out of the Stretch as I type.

On a slightly related note, why no Caly Jr FRN SB sprint, Sal? :D

If you haven't tried a Stretch, you really should. I think it is the top FRN/VG10 model made. Plus, with the history of it being a pet project of Sal's to design his perfect knife, how could you not have at least one?

Hm... well, I'll try one, but maybe I'll hang the bigger bucks on an Endura, rather than spending the extra cost on a Stretch, which I'm not sure I'll get along with.
