The material on the e-bay knife is flat to the bolster, unlike Eric's knife which in the photo appears to slope down to the bolster from the pin, is this correct Eric?

The scales on the auction knife are probably proud of the bolster on the top and bottom. They're rounded on the belt to the contours of the bolster in final production along with that gnarly end rivet. (Is that right MM? I need a pro's opinion on that:D )

yep, the handles are not yet hafted on that knife yet, they need to be beveled down on the ends to match the contour of the bolster. That pivot pin needs to be trimmed down flush with the bolster too. If no one here has a snipe set up on it I may throw in a bid or two and use it as a donor knife for a project I have in mind.

Go for it! (Hafted, I knew there was a word for it, thanks MM!)
