Just picked up a Windlass Italian bastard sword , the throat locket is loose [ I think that's the right term. ] Anyone know of a way to secure it ? Thanks

Is it sliding off loose, or just moving a bit?

If it slides up and down, use some glue to lock it down. Slide the collar part way off, spread some glue on the leather near the top, move the collar down part way, wipe off any excess, push it the rest of the way down, clean up and excess again and let cure.

If it is just wiggling a bit, you may be able to get a few drops of cyanoacrylic to wick up and make it snug.

Just moving a bit , what kind of glue do you think I should use and Thanks.

Cyanoacrylic, the miracle tool! My 2 cents on super glue repair is to test the glue first. The liquid glues have better "wicking" action for penetrating into cracks between 2 materials, but they have a bit less "grab" for quick holding action and can get lost in pores and cracks. Gel super glue has really strong grab but is going to stay wherever you put it, so you use it in different applications. Cheap generic super glue has less grab than name brand, like Krazyglue, but that can be useful sometimes in that you have another couple of seconds to fiddle the fit. I like to buy tiny tubes of liquid for woodworking and paracord projects because I use them up before they harden, and the liquid can also be used as surgical glue to close small cuts. Gel glue doesn't work very well as first aid, and boy did it make a mess....
