You may remember the sketch of a special covered scabbard I needed for an Indian kukri. Here is the finished product.

The sheath is beautiful, and faithfully reproduces the one which formerly protected the khukuri. The khukuri itself appears to be quite thin, but has very nice lines, and it very elegant. It looks like it was very well made.

Don't recall seeing this before.

Sleek!

Blade -&- scabbard.

We'll take a dozen sets. :D

No cho ? !

OAL about 19" ???

Is there something to prevent the blade
from cutting the stitching/leather?

Wow! That's something! Does it attach to a belt with a loop in back, or does it use a frog? Or is it a scabbard only?
Whatever - it is very beautiful work. What kind of leather is it made from?
Brian

nice! is it 2 layers? {plus 3rd for the blade seem?} or is the flap stitching more decrative?

Photo of the rear would be good!

It is one piece of leather like the original, but has a very thick piece of steerhide at the edge. The stitching is functional and there is a simple belt loop at the back. The top is flared a little too much but I will cut it down so it follows the original. It's a nice rig and I like the protecting flap and piggyback sheath for the karda.

Really nice work!

DO you ever makes sheaths for custom makers?

We should talk...e-mail me. I have a KLO in progress that will need some pretty leather.

I took the design from the remnants of an old scabbard and gave them to a leather craftsman to fabricate. I think he does nice work.

I love seeing good sheath ideas...way to go, JP. Looks great.
