Dan Koster just finished making new handles and sheaths for two 16.5" AK's, one 15" BGRS and one 15"BAS.

I no longer have a need for the original scabbards, chakma/karda's. The chakma/karda's for the 2 AK's are one set wood and one set horn. Ditto for the 2 smaller scabbards. All are like new.

I'll be happy to give them to anyone who is willing to pay postage. Only hitch.....you have to roger up for them by friday the 25th. I'm moving far, far away on monday the 28th, so saturday morning is my shipping window.

Oh by the way........ Dan's work is superb. His prices are more than reasonable. If I had a camera I'd post some pictures. I'm very pleased and would recommend that you get in line.

Miguet,

Don't forget to collect a few of the local Chammoro knives before you move. There were still a couple of active traditional knife makers on that island last I checked.

All are African Blackwood with mild steel guard and buttplate. Heckuva nice set - I'm jealous of my own work. It was hard to let them go...but there was a firm deadline....miguet is skippin' town!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Artistan, craftsman, and good man to boot. I look at Dan's work with admiration, but also a large portion of pride in his achievements. He's come down a long road to get where he's at, kind of hard not to be happy for him.

Nice pictures and a fair representation of the magnificent job that Dan did on these. I'm taking them to Guam with me where no brown tree snake will be safe.

I've killed a few in my time. They're actually lethargic. What's disconcerting is finding them inside the house. I found one coiled on top of the screen door. It was about 5' long. Another one on the bedroom floor at zero dark thirty in the morning. I thought it was my belt but then it moved. My method of execution is to step on them about 4 inches behind the head and then yell to my wife to find something to cut with. For her.....that means scissors. Not a stylish or glorious death. Tile floors are good.

I do not need them but it is kind of you to offer.
