Super stoked with this recent pickup off the Exchange, thanks brother!!
Bought this with intent to make it a user despite being fairly rare and didn’t waste any time throwing it into the mix.
Really love the thin stock (0.152”) and full flat grind. The crowned spine/meltdown treatment around the talon hole and pommel are also really nice touches. The handle of course fits like a glove.
Prior to picking this up I hadn’t really thought about its “bloodline” much, but as shown in the pic it’s clearly very much a big brother to my BG AMS.
Was initially hesitant about this one due to not being a fan of cerakote, but decided to embrace the ugly duckling lol. Know it will be a lot of manual work to remove this coating, but it will likely get the full etch, strip, hand sanding treatment to match a lot of my other users. The scales appear to be micarta under a layer of coating. Excited to find out exactly what’s underneath.
If anyone knows, I’m curious about when these were made. Guessing it was from a small batch for a show or ganzaa.
