first off blues, if this is not allowed, the review, please forgive my ignorance and move it for me. thanks. ok so as a few of you know i got a scagel#11 a weeka and half ago and it was not the greatest thing ever. so here i go again with a second scagel. i gotta say the new one is exactly like i had hoped it would be. it has thick samber stag handles, no blade play at all, and a beautiful blade. this is what i would expect from a 150+ dollar knife. so lets get started here. first thing first. the blade, like all knives i get came reasonably sharp. not too bad but not up to my standards. so i took it to my stone and re beveled it. then my sharpmaker came along and sharpened it. and finally my ksf strop and leather belt. needless to say, the 1095 took an edge like you wouldnt believe. cuts loose hanging receit paper like nothing. newspaper, puh-lease. like butter. so the shots i did are to try and show you the stag. absolutly beautiful and hand filling. the only complaint i have is that there are two sharp ridges near the end that might irritate me after prolonged use. nothing i cant fix with a bit of sandpaper, or time in the pocket to wear it down. also, it fits my hand like a glove. perfect size. very hand filling. i gotta say, this is definatly the kind of product i was expecting the first time around. good work to dave and his workers. they make a great product, im just not a big fan of their customer service. i will say this though. for anyone out there who wants a great single blade slippie but cant afford a bose custom, or any of the custom ones, take a look at these. great knives. ok and a reward for those of you who actually read all of this, here are some pics. i tried to show you the stag, but all i got is my blackjacks camera, sorry.
