Any of you guys do Scagel style slipjoints? I went to Jerry Van Eizenga's class on Scagel Folders at Batson's. I love the style and would like to try to make one now that I have my KMG up and running. It was a fun class and it really got me pumped up about trying a folder. The KMG is an awesome machine, and Rob Frink was very helpful and I highly recommend it. I know you guys have all been hashing over which motor, controller, etc. I have been right there with you. I had to go the cheap route though. I ordered a couple of 3 step pulleys from McMaster Carr. I have the motor mounted under the table using the weight of the motor for belt tension. It works ok but needs a little more weight since it's just a 1 hp AC. I'm not complaining though, at least I'm grinding.

Got any Scagel Folder Pics?

thanks
