This is a knife that will be headed out to a customer tomorrow. Scagel had a style we have always liked and while we don't try to copy it, we do like to use some of its aspects. This one has a 6" blade of 1095, differentially heat treated, a brass guard and spacers with leather and stag handle.

That is a very nice piece Harry. You and/or Charlie did your homework, and the final results shows. I'll see you guys at Blade.

Very nice. I like Scagel style knives and that one looks great.

There was a post recently from someone looking to buy such a knife.

If you want to sell it, the post was made on this forum a few days ago.

Thanks for the comments guys. Peter thanks for the heads up, but this one is a special order and the guy has been patient for almost a year so we better send it to him. This one has 49 different pieces of material making it up and the piece of stag is the toughest one of all. Finding a crown that feels good and is the right size is getting to be a real problem. We will be at table 19M at the Blade Show and hope y'all will stop by if you get a chance.

Very nice, guys. Scagel influence, eh? How much? Does this mean that you are both going to become crusty and eccentric and have your power shut off?:D

We have been eccentric for years. It is expected of a knife maker. We are working on crusty and the power goes off without our help at all, so does the DSL and the phone. Not because we don't pay bills, but because our shop is 10 miles the other side of nowhere and that is almost far enough out of town.
