Ok, turns out I do need to sell one more of these fine Scagel reproductions.
Again this knife is one that was made for carry by my very good friend Dirk Potgieter AKA Oupa. This is a single blade folder. It was built from one blade out of the the fourth in the series from Northwoods which was of course a huge two blade model. Many people like this model but find it hard to carry being as large as it is. This one is a much nicer carry size, thin enough to be comfortable and half the weight.
I actually had forgotten I even had this Lignum Vitae wood one. This deep chocolate colored wood is very old. It is much denser than what is currently for sale anywhere. It was found in William Scagel's shop attic by the folks that bought the property and now reside there. As I understand it this wood find came to the attention of Dave Shirley and John Cable who then came into possession of at least some of it which was passed on to Dirk just for use in these fine Scagel reproductions. As you recall Dave is responsible for NorthWood knives and behind the owner of the Scagel license to use the name legally. I have documentation to prove this wood is authentic which goes with the knife. You get some of Mr.Scagel's own wood stash with this folder. Its a very rare find.
$160 Shipped. Firm. No trades. I prefer pay pal. SOLD
Thanks
