IMG_2440.jpg IMG_2441.jpg IMG_2389.jpg IMG_2388.jpg Hello, this Scagel style hunter has a CPM154 up swept 6" long blade, 0.187" thick and 1 1/8" wide, it is mirror finished with 59-60 HRc heat treat double temper with cryo. The handle has a soldered on nickel silver guard, stacked leather spacers, nickel silver, G10, micarta spacers, mammoth ivory and a whitetail brow tine pinned with a single nickel silver pin. The sheath is 8-9 oz. tooled veg tanned shoulder hide with a replica arrowhead mounted on the front panel, the sheath has a lamented kydex panel in it for added safety to the wearer and is also lined with pig skin to prevent scratching to the blade. All comments are welcome and thank you for looking.

part Scagel, part Randall, part Herron- interesting fusion you got going there

I had not seen the Herron resemblance until you mentioned it, but yes you are correct it does have a George Herron look to the blade, you have a good eye Lorien.

I love everything about this but the spacer stack and the polish really stand out to me. Beautiful work that must have taken serious patience.
Yeah, the sheath is pretty amazing too.

Thanks Mack, yes a lot of separate parts to keep track of and keep them in thee right order really does take time and test my patience, but I lie to think it's worth it.
I like the handle configuration, Nice job on all.

Thanks Craig, that is an old Scagel design, when I first seen it I didn't like it, I figured it to be a little awkward, but after I made a couple and held them in my hand, it is a really nice design, a pistol grip on the brow tine gives you about an extra 2 inches of grip when you need it, like when your field dressing deer.

You are among the top makers currently focusing on Scagel style blades. Keep going, brother, I love it!

I can't express how much I love this knife Scott. The dimensions and shape of that blade just make my eyes happy and that sheath is incredible. Great overall package my friend:thumbup:

My thoughts as well.
I have never been too much a fan of Scagel's stag tine/folk style handles, crazy about his other handle designs though.

I didn't like the brow tine knives Scagel made either when I first saw them, but I do like them now and I think that handle style is especially fitting for combat style knives. And I do agree with you Kevin, I still think the crowns are my favorite handle style.
