I have just read this short book and found it a really good read....does anybody else know of any other scagel style books around?

Funny thing is, when I had finished (about 15 minutes of reading and looking at the pics), I wish it had another chapter etc....

Very good reading, very imformative.

Gundy, apparently there has been very little written about Scagel in book form. 'just a scattering of magazine articles and anecdotes. I too have the little booklet you speak of, and it is way too short. I'd like to know more about his technical processes, etc. but apprently there is not too much to tell after this passage of time. I saw a Scagel in an exhibit one time that blew my socks off. It was larger than I expected and had an incredible "presence." The visual impact is hard to explain, but it was just plain wonderful.

Sounds like you too, got that depressing feeling when you had finished reading the book......wishing there was more. It really grabbed my interest. I have another Tomes/Scagel on it's way to me as I would never be able to afford the real thing. P.J does some excellent work and I am a huge fan.

Do you know of any other book(s) out there that has a fair size section of information in it? eg. Knife talk by Ed fowler? I have heard of this book mentioning something in it.

Hey Guy's,

Contact Dr. Jim Lucie. He really is the resisdent expert on Scagel knives. He knew him personally. I had the priviledge to spend some time with Dr. Lucie at the Baston Hammer-In a couple of years back, and belive it or not, handled real Scagels! I was freaking blown away by it, and was just in awe. He then handed me a Scagel piece which was Mr Scagel's very own EDC! It was a sureal moment in time, with me just standing there dumbfounded. I found it very difficult for my fingers to release and let go of her:)
